Abstract: EU and Eurasian Economic Alliance (EEA) are two regional integration mechanisms in Eurasia. The former is well-established, while the latter is an emerging one; the former is in the margin of Eurasia, while the latter originates from the central zone of Eurasia; the former evolves from the integration betweenindependent sovereign states, while the latter results from the dissolution of unified states and the reintegration of new independent states; the former is dominated by Germany and France, while the latter is predominated by Russia. There is no doubt that EU, as a variable factor of the foreign relations of EEA, plays a crucial role in boosting the collaboration of “One Belt One Alliance” and establishing the Eurasianpartnership, and involves in the competition of “EU-style” regional integration development model. Regardless of the obstruction between Russia and Europe, EU still maintains that Russia and EU are two supports in common peripheral support. It is anticipated that EU and Russia will resume the dialogue mechanism and establish a collaborative relationship with EEA.
